New Full-Care 5600 series is an alternative to traditional rubber-based solutions
November 6, 2014

Associate Editor at Nonwovens Industry
H.B. Fuller extended its high-cohesive olefin technology platform with the launch of a new-generation product, the Full-Care 5600 series, as an alternative to traditional rubber-based solutions in the global hygiene market. According to company executives, the performance of the Full-Care 5600 series for typical construction substrates compares well with traditional rubber-based adhesives, as proven in comprehensive tests. The series maintains quality and integrity in hygiene construction applications through its high peel strength and bonding at a low coat weight, remaining secure under challenging end-use conditions. H.B. Fuller says it is matching its product and process innovations to hygiene manufacturers’ critical needs, which in the case of the Full-Care 5600 series, includes versatility for a variety of typical slot and spray applications. It also is adaptable to wide variations in application settings. Improved thermal stability has added to the product’s clean-running characteristics, which means less charring and nozzle blockage, so manufacturers can optimize production efficiency and reduce ongoing maintenance costs. Heather Walch, business director, North America Hygiene, says, “Our award-winning, high-cohesive olefin technology has already been recognized as the best in their class by a leading global research firm. As a pioneer in the development of olefin-based technologies, with over ten years’ experience in its successful commercialization for hygiene applications, it is the perfect time to take olefin adhesives to the next level with the latest Full-Care series.”
